|*20th Jan' 07*|

Work has been quite hectic the pass few weeks. Due to the upcoming developments in SBG. Got attacked by mosquitoes twice in three days. =.= I think I'm TOO dark already la... especially the face..=\ Sigh.. I might continue working there if I'm successful. =D

1 of my friend got a new car last Sunday, didn't get the chance to go with him but we went out the next day. hehs.. =X The good thing about having a car is that you can go anywhere. haha..=X

This is along Coastal PCN from ECP. Most scenic view.

We went cycling yesterday. I have been wanting to try out the Eastern Loop of the park connector network (PCN), so we went to recce yesterday. HAHA. Well, we started from East Coast Park, and decided to go along Changi Park Connector. I visited that area on friday during an excursion, and I was really impressed by the scenic view. The trees especially doesn't resemble the city view of Singapore. Impressed, I cycled through there yesterday. We followed the directions which led us to Changi Beach Park and along Changi Airport. The routes den led us to loyang, tampanies, pasir ris, bedok and back to ecp. we skipped siglap due to time constrain which due to some bad linkage.

@Changi Beach Park, the Casuarinas make the place don't look like S'pore at all..

The Bedok Park Connector was the most disappointing one. It is 6km,second longest after the coastal park connector (which is the best!). We got lost even following the directions printed on the road and signages. Worst still there was an end of PCN and we travelled all over before finding the way back to ecp. At the part at Bedok reservoir, the road was sand. How can a person blade on sand?! so we turned back to the canal and went towards changi road. Weirdest thing is.. towards the end.. there's a sign that says "Please dismount and turn right and find your way to the nearest PCN." OMG! like we know where the next connector is.. There's another sign before that led us to jay walk. weird right. =\ I realise that along Bedok Park connector, there isn't the usual brown signboards along the route, and the signages are confusing. That was the major misleading area throughout the travel. We encountered a few at loyang, where we have to cross the junction where to PCN continues. Good thing we were alert and saw the brown signages. The other place we got lost was at changi beach park, where we couldn't find the way to changi PCN. Actually not as bad as the bedok one, we had to be alert and look at the printing on the tarmac road. HAHA...

My friend was roller blading while I cycled, and.. he fell at 1 of the slopes towards the canal along bedok PCN (Stunned a while..), which we thought was so not worth it as it brought us a lot of trouble finding out way. We ended up on the roads. Good thing my friend knew the way back to ecp. Just nice along the terrace houses at Bedok Ria, I saw a neighbourhood park behind, and I thought why not we go by there, might lead us back to ecp in a safer way. True enough, it's a park and it's a continuation of the PCN which leads back to ECP via Bedok Park Connector. That's why I say Bedok Park Connector is very disappointing. =\

My friend quite impressed by my guess on the park. Haha.. and said no wonder I'm in NParks.. lolx.. Lucky we went by there or we'll be along the road.=.=" We made it back safely to ECP. BUT, the underpass does not have slopes,so I gotta carry the bicycle. AND.. there isn't a signage from ECP to the Bedok connector, so basically no1 would have known.

Initially I wanted to go by Bedok and return via coastal PCN coz.. save the best to the last ma.. but it was an easier way out la.. haha.. Ohh well..we had fun la..! =D

Went to Jalan Kayu for Prata after that. All the calories burnt returned again.. LOL. The whole eatern loop is approx. 42km in distance, I wonder how much more we have travelled..=\ hehx...
